  • Other structures on the property – the value is a percentage of the dwelling value.

How much coverage do I need?

  • The dwelling coverage is determined on the estimated replacement cost if you needed to rebuild today.
  • If you have other structures on your property that the values exceed the default amount in the policy, you can add additional coverage for these.
  • If you have valuable personal property that should be insured in addition to the default amount, such as jewelry, art, guns, antiques, etc., you can schedule these items with their own specific values.
  • If you need to protect your overall assets, you may want to consider an umbrella policy.
  • If you live in a flood zone, you may want to also invest in flood insurance.
